Pricing schemes allow you to vary the pricing for a product based on several different factors.

Note: Pricing Schemes is a feature that will need to be activated by BookingLive before it can be set up


The overall workflow for Pricing Schemes is as follows:

Key details:

  • Pricing Scheme - This is the overall container for the settings that will vary the price.
  • Key Names - These are the various factors that cause the pricing to change.
  • Price Points - This is the price for this combination of Key Names during the specified date range.

Setting up a Pricing Scheme

The first thing that needs to be done is for you to set up the Pricing Schemes and their Keys. To do so, go to:

  1. Settings > Finances > Pricing Schemes
    1. /admin/finances/
  2. Click "Add Pricing Scheme"
    1. Enter the name for this Pricing Scheme
    2. Choose which date will be used for calculating the price.
    3. Click "Save"
  3. Go to the "Pricing Scheme Key Names" tab.
  4. Click "Add Pricing Scheme Key Name"
    1. Provide a name (which will be used to identify this variable)
    2. Choose from one of the available "Key" options.
    3. Click "Save and Close"
  5. Repeat Step 4 for each variable / Key name that you wish to use.
  6. Once you have added all of the Key names, click "Save and Close"

Custom Enumeration
Provide a dropdown menu of choices for the pricing.

Change the pricing on certain days of the week.

Membership Group
Change the pricing based upon the Membership Group for the Purchaser.
Selectable Membership Group

Part Of The Week
Change the pricing on weekends/weekdays
Time Range
Change the pricing during certain time ranges during the day.

Using Pricing Schemes

Once your Pricing Schemes have been configured, you can then start using them in your Products. To do so:

  1. Go into the settings for the relevant Product.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and choose the relevant pricing Scheme from the Dropdown list.
  3. Click "Save"
  4. Go to the "Pricing Scheme Points" tab.
  5. Remove the "Default;" Pricing Scheme point.
  6. Click "Add Pricing Scheme Point"
    1. Choose the relevant options for the various Keys that have been configured for this Pricing Scheme.
    2. If you wish to provide a different Booking Form to the default one based on this Pricing option, then choose the relevant one from the "Template Set" list.
    3. Click "Save"
  7. Click "Add Pricing Scheme Point Price"
    1. Enter the Start Date/Time for this pricing option (DD/MM/YYYY HH:MM)
    2. Enter the End Date/Time for this pricing option (DD/MM/YYYY HH:MM)
    3. Enter the net Price for this pricing option
    4. Select the relevant Accounting Code for this pricing point.
    5. Click "Save and close"
  8. To add additional pricing date ranges for this pricing option, then repeat step 7.
  9. Click "Save and Close"
  10. To add additional pricing options / combinations, repeat steps 6, 7, and 8
