Products come with the option to configure extras/suggested products on the booking page.
Additional products can be added as optional extras or "Upsells" to events. Users will not see these Upsells until they reach the availability page of the booking process.
Here they will be able to select whether or not to include these products as part of their order.


Examples may include:

  • Appropriate clothing for an event
  • 'Early Drop Off' or 'Late Pick Up' options

TIP: Before you can link an Upsell Product to your main products, they will need to be set up on the system


Adding an Upsell to a product

To add an Upsell to a Product, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings > Products
  2. Select the product you want to add the Upsell to
  3. Go to the "Product Upsells" tab
  4. Use the Dropdown menu to select the Type of upsell to be added (see sections below for details)
    1. Basket Page
    2. Booking Page: Group heading
    3. Booking Page: Upsell (most commonly used)
    4. Booking Page: Required One Product
  5. Click " Add"
    1. Where applicable, select the Upsell Product to be linked.
    2. (Physical Items only) - Provide the maximum and minimum number of this upsell that can be selected
    3. By using a Physical Item with a Minimum value of 1, you can add in a mandatory upsell, such as a Deposit.
  6. Click " Save and Close"

Basket Page

This allows you to display a selection of Products on the Basket Page which might be relevant to the interest of someone making a booking for this product.
Note: This option allows you to link any type of Product, except for Event Upsells.



Booking Page: Group Heading

Not an Upsell in itself, this creates a Heading which allows you to group your upsells. These headings can collapse to allow a lot of upsells to be shown.
In the screenshot below, headings have been created for "Booking Extras", "Pre-Performance Champagne, Pimms & Hors D"oeuvres" etc .


Booking Page: Upsell

This, the most commonly used option, shows an upsell when the user is selecting their event time and the number of participants, prior to placing the event in their basket:


Booking Page: Required One Resource

This creates a section where the customer must choose one of the provided options before they can continue onwards with their booking.


Admin Only Upsells

It is possible to set up Upsells that can only be seen by people who are in certain Security Groups

  1. Go to Settings > Products
  2. Select the product you want to add the Upsell to
  3. Go to the "Product Upsells" tab
  4. Use the Dropdown menu to select the Type of upsell to be added - Booking Page: Upsell (most commonly used)
  5. Click " Add"
  6. Where applicable, select the Upsell Product to be linked.
  7. Click " Save"
  8. Use the Search box in the top-left to select the security Group that can see this Upsell
  9. Click "Link Existing"
  10. Repeat steps 8 and 9 for any additional security groups that are applicable to this Upsell.
  11. Click " Save and Close"
